Yesterday, the European legal group of the European Council of Shopping Places (ECSP), gathered around artificial intelligence with eight workshops that took place during MAPIC.
Several participants contributed to the discussion led by Claudio Cocuzza on artificial intelligence and ethical values.
The group examined some of the most critical challenges AI presents in the realm of ethics, raising essential questions such as:
🔸Is facial recognition legitimate?
🔸What about real-time biometric facial recognition—can it be considered ethical?
🔸Which areas of prohibition defined by AI regulations should companies prioritize?
🔸How aware are businesses of the criticalities surrounding these prohibitions, especially with the European AI Regulation set to take effect in February 2025?
The conversation highlighted the need for businesses to stay informed and prepared for the evolving legal and ethical landscape surrounding AI.
