Giacomo has been working with the firm since 2015. He assists both Italian and foreign companies in the protection and development of intangible assets as part of their business activities.
His expertise covers various matters pertaining to in- and out-of-court enforcement and protection of intellectual property with particular reference to the legal regulation of trademarks, patents, utility models, designs, copyrights, know-how, trade secrets, and unfair competition.
He advises and assists with the negotiation and drafting of national and international contracts for assignment, licensing, distribution, franchising, merchandising, sponsorship, advertising, and technology transfer, taking into account industry-specific regulations.
He also provides assistance and support with all issues related to intellectual property rights on the Internet, including websites, multimedia products, online services, software, and digital distribution of protected works.
Giacomo also handles issues related to personal data processing, providing advice on compliance, privacy audits and due-diligence, privacy impact assessments, data breaches, cross-border data flows, data sharing agreements, data theft prevention, and data breach management.
He has participated several times as a speaker at conferences and postgraduate courses in corporate management.
